Farmhouse Renovation, Re‑Roofing and Extension, Yedingham, Near Malton

Working alongside Kirkbymoorside‑based Chartered Architect Patrick Cuddy, CG Building & Restoration Ltd was appointed to carry out extensive renovation works to a privately owned farmhouse in Yedingham, near Malton, North Yorkshire. The project involved a full internal and external refurbishment, modernisation of the building’s services and the construction of a new rear extension to enhance the property’s living and entertaining spaces.

Finished to a high standard throughout, the refurbishment works included internal reconfigurations and alterations, re‑roofing, installation of new aluminium windows and complete redecoration. The property received upgraded electrical, heating and plumbing systems, including the installation of an air‑source heat pump, an upgraded electrical mains connection and a new waste treatment plant with associated external works and drainage.

An existing extension was demolished and replaced with a new single‑storey rear extension, providing additional living and entertaining space that connects seamlessly with the surrounding rural landscape. The extension was designed to complement the farmhouse’s character while delivering modern functionality and improved thermal performance.
