Celebrating International Women’s Day and Women in Construction Week by introducing our new member of the team Sherry Bonnett.

Sherry joins the Estimating team with over 10 years’ experience in the construction industry. Keeping with this year’s WIC week theme ‘Many Paths, One Mission’ Sherry’s career actually began with a degree in Sociology! After graduating from the University of Leeds she secured a job in construction working with Skanska where she was chosen to take part in a Fast Track Graduate Programme post which would eventually lead her working in London, including working on the Olympic Park for 2 ½ years.

After 5 ½ years in London she took voluntary redundancy and took some time out to travel and see the world. On her return she took a side step and worked for a landscaping supplier for 5 years whilst also becoming a mummy. Once her son turned 3 years old she decided she wanted to reignite her career in construction, this time not site based but in Pre Construction. She started as Estimating Assistant and shortly after progressed to Assistant Estimator. She is now continuing her journey and joins us as an Estimator.

We are delighted her path has brought her to CG Building and Restoration Ltd and welcome her to the team!
