This beautiful grade 2 listed mid-terrace townhouse on The Mount in the centre of the City of York was tastefully restored and renovated throughout. Working alongside Niche Design Architects of Ilkley and our Private Client, works included internal alterations and a rear extension to provide extended living and entertaining areas.

A large kitchen extension to the rear with aluminium sliding doors to the garden included a zinc roof and rooflight, flooding the space with natural light.  The Polished Micro Top flooring to kitchen floor brought that modern touch to this period property.

The basement was waterproofed and converted providing an additional guest bedroom with walk in storage along with a large fully tiled bathroom and utility room.  

Reconfiguration of the ground floor created a cosy snug, large study, and grand entrance. The existing Victorian spiral timber staircase was retained and refurbished, and the walls finished with polished venetian plaster.

To the upper floors the bedrooms and living areas were completely renovated providing bespoke dressing areas along with new ensuites and a family bathroom all tiled using large format Italian tiles.

The property benefited from the installation of a new heating system as well as a total re-wire along with internal redecorations throughout. 

Externally the existing Victorian timber sash windows were retained and refurbished by a specialist and finally a new porcelain tiled patio was laid to the rear.
